Fiori-Designed Medical Product Launched by Planar
PORTLAND, Ore. —

With the launch of the new Invitium Medical PC, Fiori announces the completion of a research, design and engineering program for Planar Systems.
With a combined computer and flat panel monitor, Invitium point-of-care workstations are specifically designed for patient safety and comfort. Ruggedized for impact and fluid resistance, medically certified and with a variety of mounting options, Invitium is ideal for use throughout hospitals and medical offices.
Fiori used contextual research in medical settings to uncover an array of problems with existing information systems throughout the environment — admissions, patient rooms and the surgical environment. The discoveries made in research pointed the way to areas of opportunity in design, enabling us to fix problems, align with natural workflow, and compensate for the many constraints of the environment.
