Fiori Designed Kayak Launched by Dagger
PORTLAND, Ore. —

Fiori, a research and design firm, announced completion today of a design program for Dagger, a leading manufacturer of Kayaks. Fiori’s design team and Dagger’s development team worked together to develop new touring and recreational kayaks to be launched in 2004. Both boats carry a new product design language that brings the adrenaline, performance and excellence of Dagger to recreational and touring kayaks.
The Specter is a 15.5 foot kayak for touring. The Specter utilizes the first truly revolutionary hull material to come along in a long, long time — Airalite™. It’s much stiffer than rotomolded polyethylene, and is extremely durable. It’s also lighter by 20% than a comparable poly boat, offering composite boat performance at a remarkably low price.
The Element is an 11.1 foot recreational Kayak that combines a new level of design with a new level of performance. Sleek, fast, maneuverable, and comfortable. The Element doesn't look like a recreational kayak — or paddle like one.
