Fiori Wins Silver and Gold at the 10th Biennial NW Design Invitational
PORTLAND, Ore. —
May 24, 2004 —
Fiori picked up a Silver award for Bigha recumbent bicycle [transportation category] and a Gold award for "The Bus Stops Here" bus shelter concept exploration [concept category] in the 10th Biennial NW Design Invitational competition held this past weekend. The design competition was open to all students, consultancies and corporate design groups in the states of Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, and California. John Rubino of NBBJ Branding & Design chaired the competition. Ray Riley of Nike, Tucker Viemeister of Springtime-USA, Klindt Parker of Starbucks and Guy Geier of Vitra juried the competition. The Northwest Chapter of the Industrial Designers Society of America sponsors the competition.
